The Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident has taken the nation by storm, and as new details continue to emerge, the mystery surrounding that night only deepens. In an exclusive NDTV report, Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto driver who transported a bleeding Saif Ali Khan to Lilavati Hospital, shared his firsthand account of the dramatic events that unfolded.

A Regular Night Turns Extraordinary

Bhajan Singh recalls that it was a quiet night, and he was driving through the Linking Road area when everything changed in a moment. “I was driving past the Satguru building when I heard a woman shouting for a rickshaw. She seemed frantic. I initially drove past but stopped when I saw her urgency,” he said.

As Bhajan pulled his rickshaw closer to the gate, the situation began to unravel before his eyes. “A group of people came out of the building. Among them was a man dressed in a white kurta-pajama, completely drenched in blood. It was shocking. His white attire had turned red from all the bleeding,” Bhajan described.

The blood-soaked figure was none other than Saif Ali Khan, although Bhajan had no idea who he was at that moment. “I didn’t recognize him immediately. All I could see was that he was in serious trouble. The sight of so much blood made me nervous. But I knew I had to act fast,” Bhajan said.

The Journey to Lilavati Hospital

Bhajan swiftly directed Saif into the auto, along with a young child and a male companion who seemed to be assisting him. They debated briefly whether to go to Holy Family Hospital or Lilavati Hospital. “Saif himself told me, ‘Take me to Lilavati.’ His voice was calm, but you could tell he was in pain. I sped towards the hospital as fast as I could,” Bhajan recounted.

The urgency of the situation left little time for conversation. Bhajan focused on the road while Saif remained seated quietly in the back. Despite his condition, the actor didn’t complain or panic, according to Bhajan. “He wasn’t saying much, but his silence spoke volumes. You could feel the tension,” Bhajan added.

They arrived at Lilavati Hospital around 3:00 AM. “When we reached the hospital, I quickly alerted the hospital staff. A security guard came to assist, and within minutes, they brought out a stretcher to take Saif inside. That’s when I found out it was Saif Ali Khan,” Bhajan said.

Saif’s Condition That Night

Reflecting on Saif’s condition, Bhajan described it as critical. “His clothes were soaked in blood. He had injuries on his hands and back. Blood was even dripping from his kurta as he walked into the hospital. It was a terrifying sight,” he said.

Despite his injuries, Saif managed to stay composed. “He didn’t say much and seemed focused on getting to the hospital. I didn’t ask him questions, but I could tell he was in immense pain,” Bhajan recalled.

What struck Bhajan most was the surreal nature of the moment. “At first, I thought it might be some sort of street fight. I was worried that I could get caught up in something dangerous. But when I realized it was an emergency, all those thoughts vanished. I just wanted to help,” he said.

Who Was With Saif?

Bhajan also provided insight into who accompanied Saif that night. “There was a young boy, maybe seven or eight years old, and a man who looked to be in his 30s. They both seemed very concerned about Saif and helped him into the rickshaw,” Bhajan said.

However, Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif’s wife, was not present, according to Bhajan. “I didn’t see Kareena that night. There were people with him, but she wasn’t one of them,” he clarified.

A Hero in Disguise

Bhajan Singh’s quick thinking and willingness to help have earned him admiration. Despite not being formally questioned by the police or receiving any recognition for his role, Bhajan remains humble about his actions. “I just did what anyone would do in that situation. It’s not about being a hero—it’s about helping someone in need,” he said.

When asked whether the police had contacted him for his account of the incident, Bhajan said no. “The police haven’t spoken to me about that night. I just dropped Saif off at the hospital and left. That was the end of it for me,” he said.

While Bhajan’s testimony sheds light on Saif’s journey to the hospital, it raises even more questions about the events leading up to the stabbing. What caused the attack? Who was responsible? Why was Saif not provided immediate security at the scene?

Furthermore, the severity of Saif’s injuries and his subsequent rapid recovery remain puzzling. Reports suggest that Saif underwent a six-hour surgery for a spinal injury, but he appeared in public just days later looking perfectly fine.

The mystery is compounded by the silence from Saif himself. Despite the public interest in the case, Saif has yet to provide a detailed account of what happened. His reluctance to speak has only fueled speculation.

A Night to Remember

For Bhajan Singh Rana, that night will forever be etched in his memory. “I never thought I’d have such an experience. It’s not every day that you help someone in such a dire situation, let alone a Bollywood star,” he said.

As the nation waits for clarity on the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, Bhajan’s account serves as a poignant reminder of the unsung heroes who step up in moments of crisis. His actions may not have made headlines like Saif’s recovery, but they were no less significant.

The questions surrounding the case remain unresolved, but one thing is certain: without the quick response of Bhajan Singh Rana, the outcome could have been far worse.
