Neil Nitin Mukesh made a terrific debut with Sriram Raghavan’s Johnny Gaddaar in 2007. He then did another hit film called New York two years later. His unconventional looks made a lot of noise and there was a lot of craze for the actor. Unfortunately, the once flourishing career continued to fade away. And then there was South star Asin, who also gave back to back hits in Bollywood. Neil was quoted saying, “ Well I was in a long term relationship earlier but the girl and her family were dishonest. They were cheaters. I am simple and an open book. I don’t like ambitious and materialistic people. The girl whom I like now is simple and not ambitious.”

The actor added, “If we get into a relationship, she wouldn’t hide the way the earlier one did. She’s a closed chapter and not worth a mention. Taking her name is a sin.”

The two were reportedly in a relationship while shooting for their film 3G. In an interview, Neil even said, “I was very fond of her before I started working with her. But I came really close to her later. For the first time, I fell in love with someone I was working with. Sonal got to see and know me both on and off the sets. It’s very important for my woman to know my working style.

He added, “ I know she feels very strongly for me. We want to make sure that we’re in love for keeps. I want Sonal to trust me completely before she makes a commitment. Isn’t it a man’s duty to convince the woman he loves that he is capable of looking after her for life?
