Amitabh Bachchan Scolded A Tabloid For Claiming Aishwarya Can’t Conceive: ‘I Shall Fight For Her..’

Amitabh Bachchan has always fondly talked about his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, on more than several occasions. Aishwarya Rai, who added ‘Bachchan’ to her surname after tying the knot with Abhishek Bachchan, was once the most loved member of the family.

We have even spotted Jaya Bachchan heaping praises for her. There was a time when Amitabh Bachchan lashed out at a publication for false news about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan expressed his disgust after a publication claimed Aishwarya couldn’t get pregnant

Being in the public limelight has a lot of downfall, as a person becomes the target of gossip and fake news, and the Bachchan family has often been targeted.

But there was a time when things turned ugly after a Mumbai tabloid claimed that Aishwarya couldn’t get pregnant due to stomach tuberculosis in 2010.

The news left Amitabh Bachchan highly upset, and instead of letting gossipmongers gossip, he decided to teach them a lesson for invading their privacy.

Taking to his blog, Amitabh Bachchan slammed the media’s careless reporting. He defended Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and highlighted that their family has the right to privacy. He wrote:

“I write to you today in deep anguish, pain and disgust. This article is completely false, completely fabricated, unsubstantiated, insensitive and of the lowest quality of journalism there ever was.”

Amitabh Bachchan said that he would fight for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan till his last breath

Further in the blog, Amitabh Bachchan stated that Aishwarya is like a daughter to him and not just his daughter-in-law. He also said that he would fight for her till his last breath.

He added that he can listen anything about him and his son, Abhishek, but won’t hear anything against women in his family. He wrote:

“I am the head of my family. Aishwarya is not my daughter-in-law, she is my daughter, a woman, a lady in my house and home. If anyone will speak derogatorily about her, I shall fight for her till my last breath. If you have something to say to the men in the house, Abhishek or me, I shall bear it. BUT … if you shall make injudicious remarks on the women in my home, I shall not tolerate it.”

Abhishek and Aishwarya’s divorce murmurs

There was time when the Bachchans would happily come in each other’s support, but now, they are maintaining a safe distance from the press. For the past two years, there are reports of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s separation. It all started after Abhishek’s absence from Aishwarya’s 50th birthday.

It was further ignited after the actress arrived alone with her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan at the Ambani’s wedding, clearly stated that all is not well in the Bachchan family.

However, the Bachchans dismissed the divorce and family feud reports with their recent appearance for Aaradhya’s annual day function. In a clip that surfaced on the interent, we could see Abhishek looking after Aishwarya while she was busy explaining things to her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan.

She made sure that he was at ease amidst the crowd and paps. We saw Abhishek and Aishwarya holding hands, and the former cutely took care of her by leading the way and pulling her dupatta up.
