When stars transform into Indian goddesses

Attending the opening night of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (India), many famous stars such as Zendaya, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Gigi Hadid, … wore extremely impressive designs. Here are the best dressed stars at the recent event.

Attending the NMACC Gala, Gigi Hadid skillfully “adapted to local customs” in a gold-embellished sari from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.
The supermodel’s elegance was enhanced by the ivory silk color, along with a series of patterns and accessories meticulously crafted from gold and precious stones.
All of Gigi Hadid’s jewelry was completely handmade by the artisans of the Indian fashion house. From the sequins and gold pearls on the shirt, to the gold silk embroidered floral motifs on the sari’s hem,… every detail was meticulously expressed, no different from royal attire.

Miss World 2000 – Priyanka Chopra showed off her radiant beauty and confident demeanor in a slit sari by designer Amit Aggarwal.
The outfit was cut from brocade silk, with the classic features of a traditional sari, but was no less fashionable with the highlight being the shirt covered in gorgeous sequins.

Zendaya also “dressed up” in an outfit delicately tailored by designer Rahul Mishra. The actress stood out in a dark purple sari, combined with a sparkling metallic “Crane Wing” bra.
On a dark tulle background, countless crystal beads were attached to create a shimmering light-catching effect, like the stars in the magical night sky.
Most notably, the patterns inspired by nature such as flowers, tiger stripes and cranes, etc. were painted on the hem of the sari, making the overall outfit a picture of a magnificent night.

Actress Penélope Cruz impressed with her fresh, radiant beauty in a monochrome outfit by Australian designer Tamara Ralph.
The pink chiffon dress with a waist cinched by delicate folds, along with a high slit, helped to highlight the 49-year-old actress’s admirable figure. The overall outfit was no longer monotonous when combined with a shoulder-baring cape of the same color, highlighted by soft, fluffy ostrich feathers.

Actress Bhumi Pednekar wore a dress by designer Anamika Khanna. It was a platinum-colored dress with a puffy skirt – a departure from the basic puffy straight dress.
The dress was made even more unique with the fringes torn from the fabric of the skirt, or the irregular floral patterns on the bodice, and large stone jewelry modeled after the traditional Indian matha patti shape.

Actress Kriti Sanon looked elegant in a shimmering Banarasi silk sari, with a metallic copper pattern that stood out against the jet black silk.
The perfection in every fold of the off-shoulder gown, along with the precise cuts on the bust and hem of the sari, helped Kriti Sanon show off her sexy figure while still exuding a regal aura.

The gold jewelry and gold-embellished high heels also perfectly matched the tone and design of the sari. Kriti Sanon’s outfit was designed by Monisha Jaising.

Disha Patani wore a two-piece sari made of shimmering sequins, the hem of the skirt was decorated with transparent crystals that could shine with each step the actress took.

The sari skirt was flowing and had an open hem on the outermost layer, at first glance similar to a mermaid skirt. The outfit was even more eye-catching when combined with a pair of sparkling silver tassel earrings.

Sonam Kapoor dazzled at the NMACC Gala in a look by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The actress’ lehenga was made up of 20 individual embroidered panels spanning 35 years of the Indian fashion house’s history, with intricate embroidery and skillful stitching. When she draped a golden silk scarf over it, the entire outfit became a masterpiece.

Alia Bhatt wore a gorgeous silver sari from Vaishali S. With the magical visual effect of the pleats on the sari, the sparkling rays of light from the bra and silver accessories such as haath bandh, choker necklace, diamond earrings,… Alia seemed to transform into a graceful and surreal goddess.

Deepika Padukone wore a powerful suit by designer Anamika Khanna. The tulle cape with a long train softened the overall outfit, highlighting the calm and elegant demeanor of Bollywood’s leading actress.
