Amitabh Bachchan, who is titled as the Shahenshah of Bollywood, has dominated the film industry for decades. However, in the quest to build a huge name for himself, his personal life took a backseat.

Seems like, Big B regrets the time he couldn’t devote to his children. Recently, the actor expressed disappointment for not being able to spend time with Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan during their formative years.

Amitabh Bachchan admits being absent for his children during their growing phase

The veteran actor is currently busy in hosting the sixteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. In the latest episode, the contestant who claimed her spot on the hot seat, discussed how this year was special for her when she got her pregnancy news.

While expressing further, she took the opportunity to ask Amitabh Bachchan about his children and who took the responsibility of them in their growing years. The actor quickly responded, ‘Jaya Karti Thi.’ (Jaya took care of them).

Further, Amitabh Bachchan expressed regret over the time he couldn’t spend with Abhishek and Shweta, due to his tight work schedule. “Sara-kuch Jaya ne kiya hai… Jitna samay hum Abhishek aur Shweta ke saath bitaana chahte the, woh nahi kar paaye. Jab kaam par jaate the, tab woh so rahein hote the aur jab waapas aata, tab bhi so rahein the.. But ab jo bade hogaye hai, toh unke saath samay bita leta hu ab.” Big B said. (Everything was done by Jaya… The amount of time I wanted to spend with Abhishek and Shweta, I couldn’t. Whenever I used to leave for work, they would be asleep, and when I returned, they were still asleep. But now that they are grown up, I spend time with them.)

 

Well, the Bachchan family for a while was in talks due to constant rumours of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s divorce. Everything seem sorted when the couple arrived together to attend their daughter Aaradhya’s annual function, putting end to these unverified speculations.
