Amitabh Bachchan continued his 40-year ‘Sunday Darshan’ tradition, delighting fans outside Jalsa. This week, Abhishek Bachchan made a surprise appearance, adding more star power to the ritual.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, 82, continued his tradition of meeting fans outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, on Sunday, January 12. The day was extra special for Bachchan’s admirers, as his son, Abhishek Bachchan, also made a brief appearance during the weekly ‘Sunday Darshan.’

A viral video on social media captured Abhishek standing on the balcony of Jalsa, watching as Amitabh greeted his cheering fans. The I Want To Talk actor observed intently as his father addressed the crowd and later waved at the paparazzi as they turned their cameras towards him.

For the Sunday ritual, Amitabh donned a white kurta-pyjama paired with a red and black jacket, while Abhishek kept it casual in a purple T-shirt.

Sharing his thoughts about the weekly meet-up, the Kalki 2898 AD actor wrote on his blog: “But the Sunday meet at the gate was as always awesome .. the numbers increase I think and the love even more .. I am so blessed ..”

On the work front, Amitabh is currently hosting the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. He was last seen on the big screen in the Rajinikanth-led Vettaiyan, which also starred Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati.
