Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra home in what has so far been reported as a burglary attempt. The demand has reportedly been of Rs 1 crore. There have been lots of speculations as to who carried the actor to Lilavati Hospital as a knife was pierced into him as he tried to protect his children. Some people are reporting it was his eldest son Ibrahim who rushed him to the hospital in auto, some have even named his younger son Taimur. His family and friends paid a visit to the actor. In her statement to the Bandra Police, Kareena Kapoor Khan said, “The attacker didn’t steal anything. Saif intervened to protect younger son, Jehangir (Ali Khan), and the attacker was unable to reach him.”

She added, “Saif tried to save children and women.” Kareena revealed that she went to her sister Karisma Kapoor’s house after the attack. “I was terrified, so Karisma took me to her house.” Kareena described the attacker as ‘aggressive.’

Kareena wrote- “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage.”

Kareena added, “While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family.”

Statement from Saif Ali Khan

The message read, “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter.”

Mumbai Police officials, investigating the incident, confirmed, “The actor and the intruder had a scuffle.”

The auto driver who rushed the actor to the hospital revealed the details of the incident of the night.

He was quoted saying to ABP News, “He (Saif Ali Khan) walked towards me himself and sat in the auto. He was in an injured state. A small child and one more person was with him. Soon after sitting in my auto, Saif Ali Khan asked me ‘kitna time lagega?’ (how much time will it take to reach the hospital). We reached in eight to ten minutes.”

The attacker was captured in the cctv footage as he got down from the stairs. Sub-Inspector Suraj Irakte told The Times of India, “The suspect appears to have entered earlier in the night and hid within the premises before launching the attack. We’ve formed ten teams to track him down.”

Jehangir Ali Khan’s nanny on the incident

Eliyama Philip was reportedly the first one to see the intruder. She said, “ I sat up to see who was in the bathroom… I saw a thin and short man come out and go towards Jeh’s bed,” Philip told police in a statement that forms the basis of the FIR, according to PTI. The man warned her, saying, “Koi awaz nahin(don’t make any noise).”
